Privacy Policy for PayFilter

1. Overview

PayFilter ("the App") provides merchants with the ability to conditionally hide payment methods during checkout. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

2. Information We Collect

Information from Merchants (You)

• Shopify Account Data: When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account, such as your shop's domain (myshopify.com URL) and contact email.
• App Configuration: We store the rules you create (e.g., "Hide Cash on Delivery if Cart < $10") to provide the App's functionality.

Information from Customers (Your Buyers)

• Transactional Data: To function correctly, the App processes cart total amounts and product IDs during the checkout process.
• Minimization: We DO NOT store, retain, or share any personal end-customer data (such as names, addresses, or phone numbers). The App operates strictly on cart logic (amounts, items) required to hide payment methods.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App.

• Functionality: To process payment hiding rules in real-time during checkout.
• Communication: To communicate with you about your account or technical updates.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell or trade your Personal Information to third parties. We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

The App retains your configuration data (rules) for as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store.

• Upon Uninstall: If you uninstall the App, your configuration data is deleted from our database within 48 hours via Shopify's mandatory webhook events (shop/redact).

6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
